Since March 2003, E.ON Ruhrgas has been a full member of the E.ON Group with overall responsibility for the pan-European gas business.
With natural gas sendout of approx. 710 billion kWh in 2006, we are one of the leading gas companies in Europe. We purchase gas on a long-term basis from sources in Germany and abroad for delivery to distribution companies, industrial customers and power stations in Germany and increasingly also in other European countries.
With our location in Europe we are optimally positioned for the market of the future.
In the interest of supply security, we are strengthening the entire natural gas supply chain from the wellhead to the burner tip, not only in Germany but also in Europe. We are further expanding our investments in gas fields (upstream) are active in gas wholesale trading throughout Europe (midstream) and are also involved in gas distribution (downstream).
