Good climate across borders

Given the sharp rise in demand for energy and raw materials throughout the world and the increasing significance of climate protection, using energy as efficiently as possible is of fundamental importance.

Investing in energy efficiency also means reducing dependence on imports. Thus, energy efficiency makes an important contribution to supply security and is therefore particularly important for the countries in Europe dependent on imports, which includes Germany.

We take up the challenges of environmental and climate protection, also at international level. As natural gas is more environmentally benign than all other fossil fuels, its importance is growing for national and international climate protection in a “natural“ way.

Natural gas is transported from the wellhead to the consumer in underground pipelines and therefore does not have any negative impact on the environment through being transported by road or rail. The construction of the pipeline routes is always planned to minimise environmental impact.
