E.ON Ruhrgas Norge AS was established in 2003 as an upstream company with the objective of pursuing gas exploration and production in Norway.
The company’s target is to significantly grow it's production in Norway.
Key milestones include:
2003
- Acquisition of 15% in the Njord field.
2004
- Award of 3 new exploration licenses.
2005
- Acquisition of additional 15% in the Njord field
- Acquisition of 20 % in PL281
- Award of 20% in PL376
2007
- Commencement of gas export from Njord
- Acquisition of 28% interest in the Skarv-Idun development
- Award of 3 new exploration licenses of which 1 as operator
2008
- Award of 8 new exploration licenses of which 4 as operator
